Road Trip

The discipline of the road.

Deciphering the greetings

and meetings with

new ideas.

There is a creative

 freedom spirit

all round forced

underground but

thriving.

Severed Road

Severed Road

steve coel

the severed road

blankets the hill

grey and undemanding as

it reluctantly inclines

towards the sea.

regimented lines

of steel, brown

with rust

envelop the park

where lovers

argue and kiss

and young men drink

as children play.

from the sea

comes the smell

and spell

of promises

with stones rattling

on concrete and flesh.

This friction

between
neighbourhoods

dissolves the fragments
of friendship.

It blunders

blind

and folds into

a future

that gives

little hope.

It is a
neighbourhood fringed

by a

gin soaked underbelly
of human emotion

that is devouring

all surrounding borders.
