Fives - Steve Coel

Notes.
Sips lager on bench seat by door.
First to say hello.
Last to say goodbye.
Clever spot.

Thing is, anger seems to run deep round this way.
Long memories see.

Even the bargains can seem expensive round here.

This is a nervous soundscape.

There's plenty to do when you needs to
be doing more.

Keeps my mouth shut in Clink Hotel
takes shunt, earns trust,
gets noticed.

So here I is.
Telling you what's what.
Getting out see, done my
stint, time to move on.
Disappear again.

OK, mobile you's been given will
let you know place and time
for first collection.
Don't worry, you's always
given at least 12 hours notice.
But stick to times you's given.

So; you picks up car #1.
Keys and instructions is usually
in glove compartment,
sometimes under front passenger
floor mat.
Anyway, you drives car to new location
picks up instructions for next car
and so it goes.
There's always five pick ups.
Always.
Usually takes a day
at most 3 days to do.
Depends on distances involved really.

Moneys usually in third or fourth car.
Never in first or second.
And new mobile is always in last car and is where
you leaves old one.
Makes your own way home.

So; works reasonably regular,
at least once a month, often more
and moneys real good as you knows.
But stay steady because trust me you'll
be getting new driving licence now and again
and some photographs of you with your mates at footy
or in the pub.
Get the picture?
Don't even think about what's in cars.
People you's now working for ain't
messing about.

But they trust you, is why
you's talking to me now.
Best of luck, just do the job
and keep your mouth shut.
